How to get to Lozenets

Lozenets sits on the southern Bulgarian coast, between Primorsko and Tsarevo, in Tsarevo municipality. There is no railway station and no airport — you arrive by car, or by bus via Burgas. Here are all the options, with real distances and times.

By car from Sofia

About 430 km and 5 hours without long stops. Take the Trakia motorway to Burgas, then the ring road and route E87 south through Sozopol and Primorsko. After Primorsko the road crosses the Ropotamo reserve — a stretch worth driving in daylight. The turn-off for Lozenets is signposted on the right; from the main road it is two or three minutes down to the centre of the village.

By car from Burgas

About 60 km, 1 hour 15 minutes on the E87. The road is single-lane in each direction and in July and August it moves slowly at peak times, especially between Sozopol and Primorsko. If you travel on a Saturday afternoon, allow an extra 20–30 minutes.

From Burgas airport

Around an hour and a half by car or transfer. Car hire desks operate at the airport, and a city bus runs into Burgas to the Yug bus station, from which the southbound coaches leave.

By bus

Buses from the Yug bus station in Burgas towards Tsarevo, Ahtopol and Sinemorets stop in Lozenets. Services are frequent in summer and run a few times a day out of season. The stop is on the main road, about 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel; if you are travelling with luggage, tell us in advance and we will help you organise the last stretch.

Direct coaches from Sofia to Tsarevo and Ahtopol also pass through Lozenets, but their summer timetables change from year to year — check current schedules before you plan.

Distances to nearby places

  • Tsarevo — about 10 minutes
  • Primorsko — about 30 minutes
  • Sinemorets — about 30 minutes
  • Sozopol — about 40 minutes
  • Burgas — about 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Sofia — about 5 hours

Parking

The hotel is at 8 Veleka Street, in the centre of the village. We have an outdoor car park in front of the building — €10 per day. Street parking in Lozenets is difficult in July and August, so a reserved space saves a good deal of driving around.

Do you need a car once you are here

For the stay itself — no. The central beach is 200 metres away and the shops and restaurants are within a five-minute walk. You need a car if you want to explore the beaches to the south, Ropotamo, Beglik Tash or Sinemorets. In summer there are also sea taxis and organised excursions from Lozenets.
